- As Mr Edison requested I beg to enclose you herewith two letters one to W H Preese Esq & the other to Sir John Lubbock, which he would be glad if you would deliver.##You might explain to Sir John Lubbock that Mr Edison has been so very busy of late working both night and day or he would have answered long ere this Sir Johns very kind letter.##The same remark applies to the letter to Mr. Preece. Mr Edison has been wishing to write him ever since he first received the report of his lecture but this is the first opportunity he (Mr Edison) has had of doing so
