I return you herewith package of correspondence marked [N.P.] I suppose the House is [wired] all right##[Havana] I return you herewith [letter] marked 14 [E.] I also return you Lewis' letter as to Freeman marked [N H. & [1]4 .##I return Isolated Coys [station] marked 14 [--].##Barkers report on Maxim at Phila Inst. Painter wrote saying (some time back) that Bs report was not in the Dept. Barker told Insull two or three weeks back that [Burchard] the Director Agent of U. S. mint has the report. Painter now writes that Bruchard has gone to California & will not be back for two or three months that if he got the report he never deposited it in the office at Washington. So I suppose we must now let the matter rest till Buchard returns##Please answer enclosed letter from Allison Amos as to [Panre].##My European Coy a/cs. I am sorry these a/cs have been so long delayed but it is quite unavoidable. Insull will try to take them up as soon as he has got through the business which has accumulated during our absence. He says he will try to let you have them the end of next week. The trouble is that the old a/cs require analysizing & no one can do this but Insull He does not see how Meadowcroft can assist him but he will let you have the a/cs just as soon as possible##Watch Tower at Niagra Falls. I enclose you letter from [Geo--] Walter for your attention. It came during my absence.##Your favor of 17th to hand referring to six enclosures not one of which has yet reawched me.##Your memo of 17th with article on Swan (which I return herewith)O received. I have read the article and with the slight notes I have made think it all right & should say go ahead and publish it in the Bulletin
