- I have your favour of 16th inst and am glad that you received the lamps in good order.##I read your article in the Evening Journal with great pleasure, the only error being as to my connection with the Edison Electric Light Coy. Instead of using me & my light for speculative purposes the course they have pursued has been most [observative. [--- -----] the original chandelier still have their [----] as out of 4800 ($48000) shares only about [113] have changed hands since the Company started. I am the largest shareholder & my fellow shareholders are for the most part Drexel Morgan & Co & their associates. What has caused me considerable annoyance & at times appeared to place me in a false position was the indiscrete publications by newspapers
