Editor's Notes: In consideration of the agreement on the part of the Western ELectric Manufacturing Company that they will at once send a man to Australia with material and instrument and organize telephone exchanges in the principle cities of Australia and will interest with them Mr. [Jeffray?] of Melbourne and Mr. McIiwraith of Britain in the telephone exchange business of Australia, I agree ot give them the exclusive rith of my telephone patents and rights in Australi on condition of receiving one dollar royalty per year on each instrument. I will execute a formal contract embodying the principels and force of this agreement, said contract to be with and in favor of hte Western Electric Co. and said [Jeffray?] and McIlwraith.
