- Referring to your personal letter of [20]th ult I have given instructions for an account of expenditures on [first] experiments to be prepared and shall hope to send it [to] you in the course [illegible]##I note [illegible] as to waiting only on one subject in the same letter. Anyway that I can assist [---] systematizing that correspondence between yourself & Mr Edison I shall be most happy to do so & I am always very pleased to receive any suggestions from you in this connection I hope you do not feel so much [--ggetives] as you used to at the [want] of attention to our letters here. I keep the correspondence of as close as it is possible for me to do with the many [duties] I have to perform
