- Editor's Notes
- I have only today learned that you called here on last Friday week to see me and I am extremely annoyed that you should have had the great trouble of making a journey from Philadelphia without result##I was in most of the day above named in the hopes of seeing you and whilst I was away from here for a short time my secretary was in and had instructions to send for me should you call. I shall endeavor to find out who is responsible for the gross negligence which caused you so much inconvenience and which has caused no slight annoyance to myself.##Will you be so good as to let me know when you will be here again and I will most certainly be here to receive you
