- In compliance with the requet contained in your personal letter of 5th inst I have today sent by Wells Fargo's Express six photographs of Mr Edison upon each of which he wrote "with the complements of Thomas A Edison" The package will go by the S. S. City of Montreal leaving here on 23rd inst. enclose you shipping receipt.##As I write the following letter has been brought in with some more English mail and I hasten to give you a copy of it as it will interest Mr Edison has not yet even seen it##Hows that for high! ##Mr. Theodore Waterhouse wrote Mr Edison sending a copy of that Scotch Judgment. So today I asknowledge receipt saying a few pleasant things and got Mr Edison to sign it himself
