Smoking although pleasant is too violent in its action; and the same result applies to alcoholic liquers#3I am inclined to think that for it is better for Intellectual [---ckers] to [prepare] their [caba--] at night as often a very long experiment at night work I find [very boring is in my [other] [---tion] at that [---] [expecting] for experimental work when so engaged I almost invariably chew tobacco as a stimulant
