Your letter of 6th inst came to hand while I was in Florida and the enquiry about engines had to await my return.##I do not think you should use any more Porter engines the new Armington Sims Engine is better simpler & cheaper than Porter. I think we shall use Armington & Sims Engines altogether.##They will cost you $1800 each packed for Export fob at Providence R.I.
