Title
[LB012124], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Societe Electrique Edison, April 20th, 1882
Editor's Notes
Mr. Wallerstein informs me that he is only authorized to pay me for merchandise shipped on your account upon presentation of Invoice with Bill of Lading attached. It often occurs that my orders for goods on your account are filled at a time when there is no steamer to ship by. In such cases I should be out of the cost of same until it was possible to ship them as I buy for each and consequently have to pay when the goods are ready while under present arrangement I could not get reimbursed until shipment was actually made.##Mr. Wallerstein was only authorized to pay me $2000 whereas my bills against you amount to $4782.82. Both he and myself have cabled you upon this subject will you please instruct him in such a manner so that I can obtain payment upon application & not have to wait until he has cabled & got a reply from you
