Title
[LB012129], Letter from Richard Nott Dyer to Thomas John Handford, April 21st, 1882
Editor's Notes
Your letter of March 28th has been received. In regard to the drawing of case 43 it should be as follows: [art] E is in contact with d and is separated from g. which is also separated from e. In regard to your statement that two cases are missing between no [25] and no. 43, I know of but one case that has not been forwarded. No 42 was prepared and then Mr Edison decided not to forward it. No. 41 is in the hands of Brewer & Jensen. It is numbered 4576 and is dated Oct 19 87. Our record gives the list complete with the exception of No. 42. I will forward the dates and numbers if you desire it.##I forward herewith papers in Case 49. The Continental Case no. 39 has been this day forwarded to Mr Batchelor with instructions to file immediately. Since the U.S. patents will be issued at an early date. I have prepared this case carefully. It contains rather more matter than I thought advisable but Mr Edison concluded to put it all into one case.
