I beg to confirm cables as follows To you Sept 27. The coupling device perfectly successful.##From you Oct 13. John Lubbock absent please write Acheson to remain.##From you Oct 6. cable whether tubing shipped directly Genoa##I cabled Acheson to await receipt of my letter in which I have requested him to remain with you. I answered your cable as to Tubes through the Societe Electrique Edison of Paris & requested them to inform you that part of the order was shipped by the Achimedes. The greater part of it however goes by the steamer sailing for Genoa in about two weeks.
