[LB014360], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Edison's Indian and Colonial Electric Co, J F Tafe, October 30th, 1882
Editor's Notes
Referring to your order to me for Z Dynamos I would suggest that you consider the advisability of ordering some of the larger machines. K & E. (200 & 150 Light) These are very much cheaper than the Z and in every way far better machines. In this country a great many of them are being put out & give far greater satisfaction than do the Z. machines##My Assistant in Paris (Mr Chas Batchelor) writes me that you have asked him to tend[er] to you for the supply of Apparatus under the impression that I will not be able to supply you with what you want. I can assure you that whatever machinery or lamps you may require I shall be able to ship you from here very promptly & would therefore request that any orders you may have be sent to me##What is your cable address
