Title

[LB014389], Letter from Samuel Insull to Edison Electric Light Co, Sherburne Blake Eaton, November 3rd, 1882

Editor's Notes

I return you herewith Howells letter as to Canadian Lamp Factory##I also return you Mr Wells letter as to Baltimore. You say "meantime the Brush Co are making headway as appears from this letter." The letter as far as I can see does not show it. You may not be aware of it but the Edison Co for Isolated Lighting is the Co which has the plant in the Balto Sun office. Is this the "headway" of the Brush Co that you refer to!!!##Col Dyers bill enclosed is O.K.##I return you R. N. Dyers letter of 31st ult which I have read with pleasure. I also return Gramme Cos list of Patents, list of new companies & letter from Gramme Co as to Underground Conduit Co##As to Clarkes letter [me] Bradley herewith the position is worth $20.00 per week only & certainly not more##As to Bliss's letter herewith I am making up a nice letter package of sand & shall send it out to Chicago with an Intimation to Bliss that I think it would be well for him to deposit it in his gizzard!!##I think you had better pay cards what he asks in enclosed letter.##As to your memo as to Wilber, I do not think there is much in it Dyer denies making any such statements. If Wilber has charges of this character to make he should be made to state the name of the person to whom the remarks were addressed##I will try & go on to Boston but I doubt whether I can spare the time##I return you Hazards letter as to Excelsior Company. I do not see any reason why we should alter our rule on their behalf & should therefore say dont supply the lamps
