Editor's Notes: Referring to yours of 5th inst. Your first proposition of collecting and Storing Atmospheric Electricity is not new, but my belief is that currents from the [storms] would not possess sufficient power to be of much utility.##Your suggestion as to utilizing the Phonograph as a speaking machine for the dumb might be practical but would require an immense amount of experimenting to determine, and perfect for that purpose.
