Referring to your letter of 2nd Jany as to application of Capt. [Haris De Plase of the School of Application of [Cavelry] namely I could make you a 100 or 150 candle power lamp the whole of the light coming from an area of 1 1/2 inches of carbon. A Storage Battery would probably be more convenient than a Dynamo machine. The lamp would require about 2600 foot lbs per minute.##Awaiting your further advices as to the matter.
