- Mr Edison has requested me to acknowledge receipt of your favor of 19th Jany which came to hand this a.m. and to return you Mr Batchelors letter to Col Gouraud.##If you refer anyone to Mr Edison I will see you get a suitable reply.##Can you [tell] Mr Edison the exact date when Jerome Redding made the round Printers for you and also do you know the exact date Mr Edison got those Duplex Instruments made by Williams and the date he (Mr E) went to Rochester. Welch has sued Mr Edison and he wants to get all the data he can. Do you remember anything about Mr Edisons relations with Welch Didnt he (Mr E) own some of the shop & left it Welch putting more money in. Mr Edisons recollection is that he gave Welch notes for what he owed him. Please let us know all you can remember about the matter
