- Editor's Notes
- Your favor of 22nd Feby came to hand this morning.##All the business in connection with the Engines was conducted through the Societe Electrique Edison of Paris who gave us the order & against whom we render our bills.##I was compelled on 24th Feby to give a three month note for three engines relying on getting a settlement for them before the notes matured. I sent forward my account to the Societe Electrique on 6th inst per S. S. Alaska & the two engines were included. I wrote you by the same mail to try & get a settlement for me. What I would like to do is to get the money immediately & take my note up with it & not let it run the full three months. I think I will leave the matter now for you to try & engineer it through for me
