I enclose you herewith statement of account showing balance against you of $6472.07.##The bills accompanying work on engines ($61.98) should have been rendered to you at the time the first two small Armington & Sims engines were shipped to you. It is for work done at our Machine Works on those two engines. Such a charge will not occur in connection with later engines shipped you as we have made other arrangements in connection with the testing of the engines in order to save you expense.##The items $7007.50 for lamps shipped from our Lamp Factory today. The [E/L] bill be sent you immediately we get it from the shipping Agents.##With reference to item $40.00 error bill Sept 2nd 82 you will find a bill of that date in which two amounts ($1054.50 & $1055) are totalled at $2069.50 whereas it should be (2109.50) leaving a difference of $40.00 against you.##With reference to the amount $1878.[40] in bill of Sept 30th the following amount although carried out are not included in the total: [math] Thus leaving $1878.42 of that bill still un[accounted] for.##In bill of Oct 7th the amount due to you should be $650 [27] & not $660.[26] as carried forward & I accordingly debit you with $10.00 in [accompanying] sttement.##In Bill rendered Mar 15th 1882 you will find that there is an error of [$1] which I have accordingly credited you with.##As I have already paid out the amount of these bills ($6472.19) I shall be glad if you will send me a remittance by [cable] as early as possible after the receipt of this
