I beg to hand you herewith estimate for the Installation of the Shamokin Plant amount to $24920.##If the gentleman forming the Shamokin Company think they can purchase and erect any part of the plant for a less price than that named in the estimate, I shall be glad to cut out any such items if they so desire provided that they will do the work with sufficient rapidity so as not to delay my part of the construction and as good and cheap as I should do it, and according to the requirements of the Engineering Department of the Edison Electric Light Co to which all my contracts conforms##You will notice that the House connectiions and wiring inside of Houses are not included in this estimate. It was impossible for one to quote a set price on this work as it is of course uncertain how much of it there will be. I will however undertake to connect consumers with the [drains] do the inside wiring in houses, supply all cut outs and bring the wires to the fixtures for $2.75 per light providing you give one an order to wire not less than 150 lights. The sockets Temporary fixtures and shades to the number of 250 lights are provided for in the estimate I enclose form of contract which I should like executed by the gentlemen forming the Shamokin Company and immediately you telegraph me that the contract is signed I will give instructions for the immediate preparation of the Plant which I hope to have running inside of Sixty days
