Your favor of 2nd inst came to hand whilst I was away in Canada - hence the delay in replying thereto.##If Columbia College does not accept the proposal I made them, the Stevens Institute Hoboken have the next claim on my collection of Instruments. If they should refuse to take the matter up in the proper manner then I shall be able to offer the collection to you.##I should be glad to see a class for the study of Practical Electrical Engineering started at Cooper Institute as I think it would be a great advantage to the class of men you get there besides being advantageous to such business enterprises as my own.
