Your letter of the 1st. inst. came duly to hand. The interview in the Louisville Courier Journal is a bogus one. Our agent. R. Hix, with whom it is supposed to have taken place, has never seen Mr. Edison and told the reporter so when he called on him and refused to be interviewed with reference to Mr. Edison. So the Knight of the Pen drew on his own sweet imagination for his thunder. I am having the data you asked for collected and it will go forward to you by the same mail that carries this.
