- I have your letter of yesterdays date and in reply I beg to state that you have left out the cost of excavating refilling and paving which you will find at the bottom of the statement of details of estimate for Conductors. Will you please let me know whether the streets are macadamized, cobblestone or granite block pavement. You will notice on the form of contract I sent you that I asked for a payment of 25% down on the giving of the order, 50% when pressure is on the mains and 25% when the pressure has been on thirty days. You say nothing in your letter about the first payment; when will this be made. If you propose to Complete the whole contract in a few days it might wait till then.
