- Referring to your favor of 28th May which I handed to the Edison Lamp Co for comments I beg to enclose you herewith letter from their Treasurer which I would commend to your [address] serious consideration. I thoroughly concur with what Mr Upton states & am confident that the only way to get long life, cheapness of production, improvements in economy &c is by having them all made in a large factory instead of a number of small factories.##I may mention that we have written the last few [mon--] shipped from 70,000 to 100,000 lam[ps] to the Continent of Europe in competition with the French Factory Ivry Sur Sime both as to price & [---]
