I received your telegram dated Chicago with relation to your appointment on the Electrical Commission##Of course I am very anxious that you shuld be on the Commission but I do not see what influence I can use to bring this about. Even if I had the influence, if I attempted to use it our friend "the enemy" would bring it up as a proof that I desired you appointed in my interest##Cannot you suggest some other way of fixing the matter with Kind regards
