Title
[LB018301], Letter from Samuel Insull to Ansonia Brass and Copper Co, Alfred Abernethy Cowles, August 29th, 1884
Editor's Notes
The Western Edison Light Co., of 51 and 53 Wabash Avenue, Chicago, wrote to Mr. Edison asking what guaranteed conductivity they should demand in ordering bare copper wire for central station purposes. Mr. Edison replied that they should stipulate for wire of 98% conductivity, and strongly advised them to purchase their wire from you. I think they will be placing quite a large order shortly, and it would be well for you to communicate with their General Superintendent, Mr. George M. Bliss, in relation to the matter.
