On the 4th. inst. I received a cable from the Marquis of Tweeddale as follows:-##"When expect receipt petition sent for signature sixteenth July. Important should be received without delay."##The papers referred to were sent by Messrs. Drexel, Morgan & Co. on the 15th. August to their London friends, Messrs. J. S. Morgan & Co., and should have arrived in London somewhere about the 26th August.##Will you please convey this information to the Marquis of Tweeddale, inasmuch as I do not know what address will reach him personally.
