- Replying to D8414ZBB, regarding death of Mrs Edison: Mr. Edison desires me to acknowledge your favor of the 9th. September, and to thank you for the kindly interest you express in the welfare of his children, and the sympathy which your letter conveys to himself.##His family is composed of three children, a little girl, eleven years old, and two boys, nine and six years old. They are now under the care of their grandmother, on Mr. Edison's wife's side.##Mr. Edison requested me to assure you that, but for his being so very busy, he would himself answer your communication.
