I have your favor of 30 ult. My dealings have been with you & not with the Piqua Company. I accepted all the material which you desired to send back in order to get an early settlement. Upwards of six weeks ago you promised me a settlement at an early date when you were here on 28th August you said you would close up the matter ten days after you rached home. I have nothing whatever to do with the delay of the Piqua Coy in settling with you & see no reason why this should stand in the way of your closing out your account with me Please name a date when I may expect payment
