Editor's Notes

We have your favor of 25th inst. The reason we only sent six Equalizers is that it is only necessary to keep the pressure at the end of three feeders agree with that at the end of the fourth & consequently there would be no object in putting equalizers on all the feeders.##We shall be glad to hear from you as to when you will require our man. Of course if you require him to do anything more than simply set up the Eequalizers his services will be charged to you. There is quite a balance still due us by your company. The reason assigned by you for not settling the account is the dispute about the Stock. The last time Mr Insull saw you you promised to take this matter up and adjust it but you have not done so. We must, therefore ask you to send us a check for $1000 pending final adjustment of accounts as the delay in placing the Equalizers & making a settlement as to the stock are entirely upon your side
