- Your favor of 27th inst covering check ([$899]) sunday account came to hand this morning. I cannot accept the settlement from you as it is not at all in accordance with our understanding arrived at when I took back the material from you. I gave you credit for that material upon the statement that you would immediately see that all my accounts were fixed up & you promised to send me a remittance in full to balance within thirty days as stated in my yesterdays letter.##I must ask you to comply with the arrangement made between us & send me a check to balance the account as last rendered by me.
