Title
[LB019475], Letter from Samuel Insull to Ansonia Brass and Copper Co, Alfred Abernethy Cowles, December 26th, 1884
Editor's Notes
Insull to Cowles Yours of 23rd came duly to hand. I refrained from replying immediately as I desired to see Mr [Edison] & at the time of the receipt of the letter he was out of town.##we have on hand some negotiations with the Edison Company in connection with the Constr Dept. & which should be brought to a conclusion within thirty days. This I hope will provide us with the means to immediately liquidate the account of $7590.96. If these negotiations do not turn out as we expect Mr Edison will then make arrangements to gradually liquidate the account.##I will call down to see you the next time I am in your neighbourhood##I gave Mr W. Preston Hix a card to you. Any information you may desire concerning him I will be glad to supply you with.##I think the business of the Edison Companies will look up considerably after New Years as they have negotiations on foot for a number of Central Stations
