“I enclose you herewith bill for experimental work, together with statement of account, showing balance due the Electric Tube Co. by the Edison Electric Light Co. of $629.09 The experimental work referred to was done between February 25th . and July 15th . 1881. The matter has repeatedly been brought up, but we have never been able to obtain settlement. I also hand you a letter addressed by Mr. Kruesi to myself which will give you some information as to the matter. When you have got all the papers before you, which you will doubtless find in Mr. Hastings’ office, I should like to have an interview with you with relation to this account, with a view to getting an early recognition of same.”
