- Editor's Notes
- "I have your favor of the 20th inst. I cannot possibly take $1,000 of your mortgage bonds in part payment of your indebtedness to me. I would remind you that the alterations I made at Bellefonte this time last year cost me quite a considerable sum, and was in fact a considerable loss to me. Under these circumstances, I am particularly anxious to get cash in settlement of my account, and I trust you will make a special endeavor to meet me in this matter, as I have already awaited your convenience as to payment."
