- Editor's Notes
- “I have your esteemed favor of the 6th . inst. which came to hand during my absence from the city. The tubes for the extension of our central station system in Milan, Italy, are now being made by the Electric Tube Co., and the half round copper rods which you are at the moment supplying to Kruesi are for this purpose. Prof. Colombo is still the Manager of the Italian Co. The German Edison Co. are contemplating the installation of a central station in Berlin. Their address is Dutsche Edison Gesellschaft 96 Leipziger Strasse, Berlin, German. We are now figuring on getting the work from them for the underground portion of their installation, but my impression the latter will in all probability get the job. I dod not know from whom Siemens, Halske & Co. buy their copper, but if you address them at Berlin doubtless your communication will reach them. I not what you state in relation to Mr. Gilliland. He is at present time in Florida with Mr. Edison. Allow me to thank you on behalf of Mr. Edison for the very handsome clock which you sent up for our office. We had no idea that you were going to send us such an elaborate affair, but are a thousand times obliged to you.”
