- I was glad to read yours of 12th inst. It came to hand while I was away & hence delay in replying to it. As I am afraid I may not reach you at Chicago I shall send c/o So. Bell Co. to be forwarded. ### I want some information from you about the settlement of the affairs of the sale of the Bell & Edison Telephone interests to the Oriental Telephone Co. I am in no immediate hurry and I will wait till you get to New York as I want to go over some of my papers with you to find out in the light of your knowledge whether my conclusions are correct. Let me know a few days ahead when you are coming to New York or if your are anywhere else East. I will come to see you.## I hope you come out of your fight with [Illegible] all right. ## I heard you {illegible} again but I hope that by this time you are all right.
