- I have the pleasure to acknowledge your favor of the 29th. Of June and in reply would state that I fully appreciate your efforts in connection with the exploitation of my electric light in Germany, the outcome of which must be greatly to the honor of myself, and, I trust, to our mutual pecuniary advantage. I have just had a conversation with Mr. Bergmann who gives a very glowing account of your efforts in Germany, and I have very great pleasure in congratulating you on the success which he predicts. It is too late for me to prepare models to send for the exhibition you speak of. If you can in the future give me a little more notice of any such exhibition, it will afford me very great pleasure in doing what little is in my power to further your wishes.
