[LB021035I], Letter from Samuel Insull to Eugene Crowell, October 8th, 1885

Editor's Notes

Mr. Edison and some friends are going down to Staten Island by the boat leaving the slip of the Staten Island Rapid Transit Co. at the battery at one o'clock tomorrow, Tuesday, to make a test of the invention for communicating between stationary points and moving trains. Mr. Edison would very much like you to go along with him. If it is convenient for you to go, will you please let me know by bearer, and oblige.
