Title
[LB021452], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Paul W Bossart, March 23rd, 1886
Editor's Notes
Will you please arrange with the B&O people to send two gravity cells to Mercer St. Our transmitting sounders sholud all have two cells each in order to overcome {the} effect of fusion when batteries are renewed. As soon as this is done, the Key at Mercer St. should be changed. There are three new keys on Mr. Gardenir's{?} desk. One of them requires to be put in on {--} line at 63 Broadway, as they are still using {the} old style switch. ##I {----} Ott the other day to send a new jar{?} to 31st St. Kindly ascertain if he has done so. ##Also please test that Sinclair's House round{?} and find out why {---} cannot work on either phone circuit. ##I go to Baltimore tonight. {----} probably be able to get through and back {-----}.
