I very much regret to say that there are no vacancies on my laboratory force at the present time, and it is therefore impossible for me to comply with Mr. Raeburn's request. ## With relation to your postscript, I would state that I hope to get away from business some time in the next year or two long enough to pay a visit to Europe.
