Title
[LB022235], Letter from Samuel Insull to Alfred Ord Tate, July 7th, 1886
Editor's Notes
Your letter of 3rd inst came duly to hand. We shall be glad to receive your report on the Haggerstown Circuit. It would appear to me that in this case we have attepted a little too much & that our insterest in the future will be the est [???] served by picking out the easiest circuit. I have letters from Mr. Bates on the subject of your report to Mr. Edison which I desire to consult you about. He wants us to use their standard gravity battery & says that a Carbon Battery such as you now use is troublesome & expensive. ## [Anssart?] is meeting with good success on the Atchinson Topeka [???] &c R. R. He has a circuit of 117 miles which will probably be extended to [157?] miles.
