Title
[LB022457], Letter from Samuel Insull to Charles Batchelor, October 1st, 1886
Editor's Notes
Will you please let me know exactly how much Livor owed the Machine Works on the 1st. January, 1886, how much he has received since then, and whether you consider what he has received since the 1st. January should be put into the form of a note, or whether it should be left to run until the end of the year and then settle it. I think the latter is the best way. I also desire to know at what date the fist $10,000. was invested in the Shafting Co.--that is, at what date such an amount has been paid it, whether in machinery or money.
