Title
[LB023051], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Alvan Markle, October 25th, 1886
Editor's Notes
Referring to your favor of the 20th. Inst. I have not met with the success which I had hoped to in producing are light carbons. I can make a better carbon than those ordinarly sold, but my results are not sufficiently in advance of those obtained by other people to satisfy me. If your company is anxious to sell your machinery, if the price is suitable, I might be inclined to purchase the hydraulic press, the squirter and big roller grinder.
