I hand you herewith contract in duplicate for the Great Northwestern Telegraph Co. of Canada. Please sign each contract where your name is written in lead pencil and hand them back to Powers. ## I also hand you herewith check for $1,200., which please sign and hand to Powers, to deposit at the Germanic Bank. It is to meet the second note which I had informed you I had to take care of this month, making $3,000 in all. The note is due Monday. This $3,000 I will return to you as soon as I can get the Lamp Co. to discount your note for that amount, which will be some time between the 20th and 30th of this month.
