[LB024074], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Samuel Insull, March 3rd, 1887
Editor's Notes
I have your telegram re primary (?) battery. I have not seen Shillito (?) because I have not had time. The cashier sent to me to procure some more European funds for compromise. I have had to see Mr. F???? Re European Business and I have been on Bergmann's trail about that {illegible}. ## Apropa of the lakes I mentioned what you told me to Mr. Coster and he said that he thought the party who wanted to buy that stock from you was working the market for a higher price. He suggested 95 as a selling figure. In talking with Bergmann today he affirmed 90. I did not close with him as I await an answer to my telegram advising you of his bids. ##I will see Shillito tomorrow.
