- Editor's Notes
- In reference to discounts today: ## Germania Bank## I saw the cashier and he said that the Scranton note was presented to the Board but they did not accept it. In referring to discounts generally he said he saw that you had increased your balance but as they took an average balance for three months fast this present increase did not materially affect it. He referred to the statement of the different companies which we were to {illegible} there. In this connection I would say that Mr. Hastings portion of this statement will be completed tomorrow and we can file it at the bank on Monday. I will be in Schenectady tomorrow night and submit the statement to your Mr. Insull. ## Eleventh Ward## I have seen Mr. Brown he said that the directors simply wanted a little information relative to the Scranton Company. I told him of the statement of Companies which we are preparing and said we would fine him a copy. He replied ok and if you want can draw against that Scranton note $2940. Advise one if you require to do so. ## Sprague Notes Too## This company has moved its Executive Office from 16 Broad St to its factory on 30th St. where I have just called Mr. Sprague had gone no one knew where--the same result when I called on them yesterday. I arranged for the a/cs to be balanced and will obtain a settlement tomorrow AM advising you by wire of its nature-- I understand from your telegram that it must be a check.
