Title
[LB025425], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Compagnie Continentale Edison, November 7th, 1888
Editor's Notes
Dear Sir:- I enclose herewith copy of a letter which I have addressed to the Berlin Edison Company, which explains itself.##The quotations on lamps made by this company have interfered very seriously with the work of my agents, Messrs. Prazar and Co.##I have no doubt that the quotations were given by some one bearing the false impression that China and Japan are open territory an impression I have endeavored to correct in the annexed.##I beg that you will do all in your power to prevent me from again being subjected to this kind of competition.## Messrs. Frazar to look at me to protect them to the same extent as your agents are protected by yourselves and I look to the Companies operating under my patents in other countries to respect my rights in China and Japan as I request theirs in territory which I have written them by contract.
