- "I have received a sample of lead covered wire taken from Mr. Auchinclose's house. I should not regard it a safe article to use but as I understand that there is very little of it used in the house it might be cut off where found and replaced by good wire. ### The underwriters wires which tests and good I think you might leave as they are, while every new wire you part is is to be of best material. ### I hope you will get this work started and finished without any further delay."
