- Editor's Notes
- "On Friday last, in response to an invitation from Mr. Edison the President and several of the Directors of the Germania Bank, [unclear] visited the Laboratory. I met them at the depot and [unclear] them to the Laboratory where we had a very tempting lunch spread from [unclear]. They were shown all through the Laboratory after which Mr. Edison entertained them in the Library with the Phonograph. They were all delighted with what they saw – particularly the President who says he is coming out again very soon with some more of his friends." A.O.
