Editor's Notes
"I enclose herewith copy of a letter which I addressed to the North American Phonograph Company on [6th] instant, asking them to place phonograph at Mayor Hewitt's disposal when he called to [make a] record that is desired to [send] to the Lord Mayor of London. I also enclose a letter which I have received [thismorning] from Mayor Hewitt, which explains the result of his visit [to No. 160 Broadway]. If the North Am. Phono Co. had [unclear] as they had ample time to do, then they would be [unclear]. I would have invited Mayor Hewitt to the Laboratory. Kindly return Mayor Hewitt's letter to me." Yours very truly, [signed] TAE
